We had to swim across this billabong- luckily there was a boat to put our dry clothes and cameras in so that we could have them on the remainder of the walk....
Then we walked through grassy plateuas...
and up even rockier cliffs to reach the beautiful waterfall and rock pools.... we also had to walk back through all these and swim back across the billabong before we could head off on our way to El Questro our next stop for two nights.
We continued along the Gibb River Road and in some spots had to ford river crossings as did all other travellers.
But the vistas of rugged outcrops and spinifex dotting the landscape was glorious.
