Braving the heat is not something I want to do but the Police Athletic Academy across the road from the new abode have ways to help kids cope with the heat.
The green awning/tent is erected Monday to Friday 9-5 with a sign and barriers creating a play street. To the right is the school playing area.
Different games equipment are put out and kids can play there so long as they have the green t-shirt of the PAL holiday program on.
The fire hydrant has a special attachment to enable water play but as yet I haven't seen it in use.
