We went by tender into Newport- weaving between moored yachts and boats

Our first tour of our cruise was around the cliff walk to The Breakers holiday home of the Vanderbilts

The opulence was extraordinary

The size of the gates seemed a good indication of the extent of the wealth

Lunch for us in a spot overlooking the moored yachts and reminders of the fact that tourism is now the new found wealth in Newport since they lost the America's Cup.

An advertising agency was set up to "shoot" a Ralph Laurent catalogue- seemed appropriate- Zoom lenses help sneak a shot

One of the first of a series over the days of getting an "interesting" photo- I like the shapes, colours and textures.

I love the brick photo, too! Such great shapes and tones! Again, something special to us, but something common to those around there!! Very interesting!
