At the base of the stairs that lead to Morningside Avenue at the "top" of Morningside Park.
If one is to walk to Maria's from our new abode one has to confront the hill somehow or somewhere along the way.
The sights on top of the hill are worth it.
I couldn't get a photo of the small family groups gathered in the shade by a water fountain. The kids were "gathering" water in cups and throwing it on each other. The three year old was not very successful in getting water all over her brother. A great way to cool down on these hot hot days.
