A #10 Sunday

A glorious Sunday in NYC. What better place to be than in central Park.  Anni, Kate and I walked from 56th Street up through the park to the Boathouse. Lots of people had the same idea so a bit of a wait before we had our brunch.

On our way home through the park again Kate stopped to practice her literacy consultancy skills and to provide Hans Christian Anderson with a little reading advice.

The motorized yachts were out in full sail.

As were the buskers...

And lots of people enjoying the sunshine.

Kate wanted her photo taken with the Alice in Wonderland sculpture and was a tad put out that I chose to photograph her with the Mad Hatter- pure accident Kate- there were fewer kids you had to clamber over.

Sunday in NYC wouldn't be the same without some sort of parade. This one was celebrating Hispanic Heritage.

While we photographed and watched parts of the parade this little boy was playing with one of his "figures".

When I looked more closely he was making a lovely circle around the figure using cigarette butts from the gutter.

I truly loved your photographs until I got to the little boy and his cigarette butts. Yuk! Where was his mama? Looked like it was a beautiful Sunday!
