A friend asked me Do home grown New Yorkers go to the rooftops at dusk for happy hours, or is it just something hardy Aussies do in their coats? (see the need for coats in Wednesday's post)
I have to say it is more than we hardy Aussies! We went to Karen's place for drinks and a rooftop barbie and there were not only we Aussies (a fairly large contingent) but also others from her building.
It was a lovely night- balmy and a light breeze and HER building has a bbq and a fridge!!!! So wine and beer and lots of meat on the barbie and a great evening.
The night "up on the roof" was fun- a cab there and back made it easier!
I spent part of the day preparing for my workshop in Jersey City on Wednesday next week- it was good meeting up with others and preparing for the day- now all I need do is make sure I know what I am talking about!

Roof tops sound like fun to me except someone has to keep my mind off of being up high!! LOL Don't like that!
But where else in NYC would you have drinks and a BBQ? Not many back yards there!!!
