Reverb12#6 December Days 6

Why did I even think it was okay to say what I thought?
So here we go with another step in the looking back over the year...

Compare the “you” from the beginning of 2012 to the “you” that you are now. What new skills or talents have you learned or discovered this year?

I knew it wouldn't be easy but I have no photos of me at the beginning of the year but I had thought it was a good way to show "the change" if any in appearance let alone the "me" that I was and the "me" that I am now.
I know I can't paint but this is a fairly accurate rendition of the look of me at the beginning of the year- I couldn't find a photo even one from the end of 2011 isn't there so the comparison will have to be between one medium and another.
But i think the comparison of both actually reflects the change in me over the year.

Cooking the plum pudding-and I'm a little thinner

I am now much more "together" and in a better "heads space" than i was at the beginning of the year. I have comes to terms with my life style here and the way things are/have changed in the past 12 months.

The new skill I have developed is one of creating things in the kitchen in some areas- learning new recipes for things and cooking with a little more confidence.
I'm still struggling with the process of getting paint on a page and finding my own style but I think i have begun on that journey and participation in a number of classes has meant that I am more comfortable with experimentation with paint and ink.

On New Year's Eve Michele had Wendy and I learning something new. I have to admit I haven't played Cluedo again nor have I attempted cooking gyoza which are the things they taught. However I taught art journaling and I think I have learnt more in that area!
