Daze Twenty Five December

Merry Christmas to all! The day has arrived cloudy and quiet here in NYC! It is early and I haven't ventured out yet so perhaps it is a little noisier on the streets.
Our Christmas Eve dinner was a great success- two people were unable to make it but the company of 10 who were here had a lovely time. The turkey timer popper thing did the trick and the turkey was cooked perfectly. The ham was as delicious and moist as was last year's one, the potatoes were crispy and the pumpkin and onion baked just right. Michele's ratatouille was great and the beans and asparagus gave flavour and greenery.
We did the Kris Kringle exchange of gifts and it was fun and some good presents exchanged. Finishing up the evening by returning Margie's table and chairs was fine with Kate looking like on of the Three Kings carrying not gold, frankincense of myrrh but the table decoration of red candle, plate and pine cones.

And not to today's prompt..
Photo - a present to yourself.
Sift through all the photos of you from the past year. Choose one that best captures you; either who you are, or who you strive to be. Find the shot of you that is worth a thousand words. Share the image, who shot it, where, and what it best reveals about you.

It didn't require much sifting and sorting as I knew exactly which photo (I don't have all that many of me really). Michele took this photo of me standing in front of the Water Lilies at L'Orangerie in Paris. It sums up me pretty well... hair now confidently grey, in the company of my sister and friends, in an art gallery, in another country, in the middle of one of the great holidays of 2010.
